Bintan part 7

The next day unfortunately,we have to take our leave to Singapore.The day was the very good day.We were all can't wait to go back Singapore.

This is the day that we will never forget and we will never forget the orphanage.

Then,we take a group picture with them. After we have taken the group picture,we had to take our leave home.It was hard to say goodbye as this is my first time going to the orphanage.

Almost everyone cry at the orphanage.This is the most experience at the orphanage.I feel like not going home from the orphanage.But then,we have our dinner at the seafood restaurant.Some people can't stop crying as it was hard to forget about it.

Bintan part 5

After we wait for them to finish the pray,we decided to take our time to prepare for the dance for us.I thought we were all shine but actually we made with a smile to them.Even though the music is too soft,we tried our best to sing along with the song.

Then we have a game with them.The game called 'paper plane'.The game actaully was fun.The first group who canfly the paper plane higher is the winner.

Bintan part 4

After that,we went to shopping for the orphanage.We were given about 1h to finish our shopping then we have our free time.Our free time only about 15 minit.After we have done that,we went to the orphanage.

Before we went to the orphanage,we went to the Nasi Ayam Penyet Restaurant,then we went to the orphanage there.After we get out the bus,I was shock because I thought the orphanage was different from Singapore.

We went in the house and greet first then we greet them 'Selamat Sore' in bahasa Indonesia.Actually we all have fun there.

Bintan trip 2010(christine)

On the 8th November, 35 student from class P6A from Innova Primary School visited Bintan. I was very excited about the trip as it was my first time there...! :) We ride a ferry to go there it was amazing....!

The first thing we did when we reach there was having a packet food at the seaside.It was very painful when I had to seat on the acupuncture grass... Ooowww! Its very sharp! :)After our lunch we went to the Mount Bintan.It was so muddy as it was raining before we reach there.

First we did our warm up.Finally we could climb a mountain at first we were afraid that our shoes are dirty but after sometimes we were very tired and we dont care about dirtying the shoes.It was difficult to climb a mountain. I would rather choose going down the mountain than climbing out the mountain.

The next day we went to visit the orphanage. It was hard to communicate with them.We have a activity together to know them more...! After a few activities its time to say GOODBYE...It was very difficult to say goodbye.Most of my friend burst into tears including ME....:'(

We went to the seafoood restaurant and the trainers tell us how fortunate to live in Singappore...It was very touching when they play the Child song....

The night we sing the song linger.Fireworks was seen in the dark blue sky...It was so sad.

The next morning it the day we are going home...:( I really miss the experiences together we our instructors and teachers who brought the bintan trip for 3 days..I will remember the trip... Thank you teachers for the beautiful experiences together...! :)

On 8 November 2010 to 10November 2010, we went to Bintan. We went to many places.

We climbed the Mount Bintan on the first day.we took about 4 hours to climb the mountain. It was quite tiring, it was a very good experience for me. It require us to concentrate on the steps we take. We had to endure with the muddy ground, as it has just finished raining. It was quite slippery and muddy. After the climb up Mount Bintan,all our shoes we dirty and were all stuck with the soil. But it was very very fun for me.I hope I could climb it again.

After climbing Mount Bintan, we proceeded immediately to the Hotel.The Hotel was right beside the Beach.At the night we played a game called''Animal Call''. We played the game beside the Beach.

The second day, we went to the fish collection centre. There were many different types of sea creatures. Next, we went to the landfill. i pity the people living there, because there were many insects there especially the mosquitoes and houseflies. I realised that I should appreciate the place where I am living now , as I am not living at that type of bad condition.

At last we went shopping for the orphanage. We bought the daily necessities they needed for their everyday use.Then we went to the orphanage. We had a fun time there. I hope we could go there again once more.

bintan part 2

day 2-we when to many places on the 9th november 2010.on that they i had fun and learn a lot of things.
the most exciting thing is when i went to the ophanage.i had fun playing with all the children.we played paper areoplanes,made mask using paper plates and other things.before that we went to the supermarket at a shopping mall to buy the children stuff which they need.for example:milk,toothbrush,toothpaste,towel,biscuits and many more items.after that,all of us boreded the bus and went to a restaurant whereby we ate there.the food was great.
day3-the trip past so fast.in a blink of an eye,i was at home bathing.i slept at 8.30pm that day as i was very tired.i woke up at 8.30am on the 11th of november and had a nap at 1 pm-4pm.

Bintan Trip

It was very fun at Bintan, where i have learn alot of things. We went to the wet village, landfill, fish collection centre, orphanage and mountain climbing...

The part that i like most is at the resort...  IN MY ROOM!!!!!   YEAH!!!!

I have wonderful time with my friends, and we laugh alot...

But at night....(here comes the worst part)

We have to squeeeeeez together and i felt super HUMID!!!!! But on the second day night, i felt super COLD!!!!!

Because someone went to change the temperature to 16 degree celsius!!!

I still don't know who is it, but i will investigate....    hahahaha~~~

The place where it gave me the deepest impression is at the orphanage, i met a little girl, she is very shy, very very shy at first, i try to make friends with her by making a mask for her. But when i wanted to carry her, she rejected....So while feeling abit dissapointed, i still continued to draw some drawings on the mask and gave it to her... Then slowly, she came to me and wanted me to carry.I hug her like my own sister and play with her too.    happy~~~

The things that i have learnt is not to take things for granted, and do not look down on others...
We have to respect other people, even though they are not singaporeans

Bintan part 3

Then,we went to our resort and it is called Agro Beach Resort.After that,we bath ourselves up and we went for our dinner.This is the best dinner that I ever had.After we take our food,we do our Makan Cheer by our intructors.This is the 1st time I've done the makan cheer in my life.


The next day,we went to Fish Collection Centre.The place is just like Singapore WET MARKET.We went there only for a while because the workers there need to do their works done there.


Then,we went to the water village.At the water village,there;s also a school where the young young children can study there.Some of the children,stay at the water village and the their school just near their houses.

Bintan part 2

On the first day,we went to Gunung Bintan angd we climb the Mountain.At the first destination,we have to walk.Then,after that,we have to climb the using the rope.That is the first time I climb the Mount Bintan.The first impression was very excited to reach the submit.

We helped each other by giving our support and help them if they need our help.We have to work in Teamwork.Sadly,Nadiah can't go up Mount bintan because she sprained her ankle.After that,we had reach the submit we have to went down the Mount Bintan.After we reach to the end,we went to the waterfall at Mount Bintan.The water there very cold and cool.

Reflection on Bintan trip

the trip was very fun with the tow trainers afiq and zul.on the first day,we climb up mount Bintan and we conquer it.then we have dinner at the agro beach resort Bintan.we have lots of fun.until the second day,afiq one of the trainer made most of us cry,he admit that he was a adopted child,but when the food comes everyone don cry and eat the declious food.we even have a karaoke session.on the third day.it's time to go back home.We took the bus i almost vomitted as the trip was to bumpy.we had lunch by the seaside and have a free acupuncture(shall not explain further).But we have lots of fun.

Bintan part 1

On the 8th November 2010,we went to bintan for a trip.I had a great experiace there.We went there by Ferry.This is my first time going Bintan.When the first step in the ferry,I feel a liitle bit dizzy.About a few minute later,tyhe ferry was on the way to bintan.

It takes about 1 hour to get there.Then,we have to fill up the immigration form that has given from by our teachers and instructor.The instructors was very funny inthe first time,and we had a great time there with them.

It was fun and exciting.As we can play games at night and have a good night in the hotel.We climb up the mountain and it was tiring.many of them fell down while they were climbing up as the the mountain is slippery.some of them also injured.

We also went to many other places in was fun and some is sad as i did cry at the seafood restaurant.

I did not went to Bintan cause I was having a fever.My friends said it the trip was fun and interesting.I really wanted to go but my temperature was too high.For the the three days i was sad because I did not get to go Bintan.I hope that my friends and a great time.

Reflection on Bintan Trip

The trip there made me learned to appreciate family members , food/drinks and made me brave ...
First day:We took a ferry there to the Bintan terminal and we settled down under a tree and looked at the beautiful scenery of a beach.Then, we also ate food but the worst thing was that the ground was burning fiery. So, I decided to put my bag on the floor and sit on it while eating. It was my first time eating at the beach! Then , we took a bus to Gunung Bintan. For awhile,we could see the "tall" mountain. We had a hard time while climbing up the mountain but in fact, almost the whole class completed. I was delighted that many people completed and also because i could go back quickly to the resort to rest...

Second day:It was time to go to water village and some other places... We enjoyed so much and the best time I enjoyed most was at the orhanage. When we leave the place, many people cried in the bus as many people was touched as they had no parents and had to depend on ther orphan friends. We went to eat and this instructor called Afiq came to say that he had no parents and still carried on with life. Not everybody cried but some cried very loudly.


Third day: It was time to go back and I was very happy and missed my parents so much...

8 Nov 2010...The day we departed Singapore,bound for Bintan.We went to TMFT(Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal) and boarded the Wan Seri Beni.
There is no space(and no time)to tell it here except in the briefest manner...
When we reached there,we had 'lunch by the seaside' and had free acupuncture on the grass.No wonder we call 'a blade of grass'...
We proceded to scale Gunung Bintan(Gunung means mountain)and I almost died because the rocks were slippery.On the descent,I smashed my shin(pretty nasty bruise there) on an algae-covered rock.It was a frighteneing experience but as always the case,it could have been worse.
We proceded to the hotel after that,and as usual,I fell asleep after awhile.Seems like the water in my water bottle wasn't the only liquid around...(you-know-what soon started to drip)
At the hotel,my group fought over who should sleep on the bed,however,we came to the best solution ever.ALL of us slept on the same bed:).
In the end,the time came to say goodbye and my parents picked me up from school a little while later.

Reflection On Bintan Trip

During the trip to Bintan I have learn lot of things and experiences at Bintan.Especially we when to visit the orphanage.They were very strong althought their parent died when they only a few months old.

Trip to Bintan

On the first day , we took a ferry to Bintan.(8/11/2010) It was very dizzy as the ferry was rocking rocking . And we check in to Bintan Agro Resort and before that we went and ate at the seaside but i will miss something but not that much , the spiky grass. We climb Gunug Bintan and we fell down over and over again which makes our butt hurt a lot and some have some souvenir, dirty shoes. So and the mountain water is SUPER COLD like you were in a cold bath even though you put your hands inside the water, it is like you were in cold water.
On the second day we went to the ayam penyet restaurant. After that we went to the Ramaya Shopping Mall in bintan where we bought items for the orphanage. At the orphanage i pity them as they don't have parents from the start.. And at night Afiq make us cry..... Although some didn't cry but most did. I admit that I cry. I hope we can go to bintan again once more....

Last day to bintan and reflection

On the last day,we head down to the resort to have our breakfast.This time the food serves more and taste delicious.After eating we head to the lobby to take a class photo,we were having fun,after that we went to our bus to head seaside for lunch,it takes 1hr to reach there.

At the seaside,we ate plaine rice,potato,vegetable and chicken,after eating by the seaside we went to the ferry terminal at bintan to get back to singapore.

REFLECTION,
i have encounter the challages part like mountain trek,using rope to climb and a slippery muddy on the ground.I have learnt teamwork during mountain trek because if we don't have teamwork we might not make it and i had learnt to appreciate things during orphanage because they never ask things like electronic things and the orphanage enjoying their life...

The Wonderful Trip To Bintan

It was the first day to Bintan. Before we headed to the TMFT, we took the school bus there for about a few hours. Then we had to undergo the migration checkpoint to board the ferry. When it was time to settle down in the ferry, we had to fill up a certain 'form' that is compulsary for us to do so. The trip to Bintan in the ferry was only about 1 hour. It was rather a short journey. Then, we had lunch by he seaside. It was so delicoius. Next we went to board the bus all the way to mount Bintan. The climbing took us about 5 hours to reach to the top and all the way down. The way up the mountain was so difficult but, all of us managed to climb the mountain except one of our classmate, Nadiah . Though, in return, at the end of the mountain, she climbed up and down the stairs for a fe times which was quite long. After the class reached the top, we rested for a while. Then, we continiued to climb down. The part of climbing down was a bit challenging then going up but everybody managed to concour the whole mountain. After the climb, we were given some snacks to fill up our empty stomoach. On the way down the mountian, we saw the magnificeint view of the waterfall near some of the huge gigantic rocks. Finally, after all the hard work climbing up and down, we got our greatest reward imaginable, our own room in the resort. After we took a bathe, we hurried down to have dinner. The food provided was so delicious. Before we turned in, we were told to filled up our empty water bottles for tomorrow. The first day was such a challenging day for all of us.


The second day, we had breakfast then we went to the fish collecting center. It was where the fish are caught. The thing that really touched my heart was when the sharks' fins had to be remove to make shark fins soup. Then, they rest of the body parts, they would mormally throw them back at the sea because we couldn't eat sharks' meat. But for certain parts, they kept it away to sell it at other country. After the fish collecting center, we went to the landfill where all the rubish are dumped into and were small kids go there to find things like toys and car's tyre to make a house for themselves. After that, we went to fill up our empty stomaoch by eating Nasi Ayam Penyet at a restaurant somewhere nearby. The food was nice and it was also served with sambal. Though the sambal was very spicy some of out classmates eat them all. The next destination was when we were going to shop for the orphanage. There were so many things that we bought for them. The things that we bought was things like everyday things. Rice, food and most of all, biscuits. Finally, we went to the orphanage. It was such a fun time playing with to kids there. I felt pitiful for the kids because they were abandoned there by their parents. When it was time to go, most of the girls cried because the kids hugged them and they felt touched. Then at the restaurant, we had the most wonderfull time. Especially when we went on the stage to sing. At last then, we headed back to the resort.

The third day, we ate at the restaurant under our room to have breakfast then,we were given some time to rest and go to the gifts and convinience shop. There were so many things that was on sale and they were som beautiful. Then after that we had to said goodbya to Bintan because we had to go. Before we go home, we had lunch at the seaside then we went back home to Singapore. It was such an unforgetable adventure i had ever had.

My Reflection - Bintan

During 8-10 Nov, I had not joined my friends on the expedition at Bintan. It's quite sad actually that my father had disallowed me to go as I heard great feed backs about the trip. My classmates from P6A said that it was a fun experience to them. Too bad I had missed it. Although my father had disallowed me to go, he had tried to make up to me by letting me go to Tanjung Pinang, Indonesia with my grandmother during the December holidays. It is not confirmed but I certainly WILL get disappointed if I could not go. My father also explained to me why he had disallowed me to go. He said that it was for my own safety. He also said that accidents are likely to happen. He added that if accidents would have happened, he wanted it to happen when we, the whole family, were together. I understood. He was just worried. But still, I am disappointed that I could not go. It was such a WASTE!

my trip to bintan

from the 8th-10th november, 35 of my classmates including me when to a learning trip to bintan.we learnt alot.it was fun and exciting.
8th november2010- we assemble at Innova primary school at 6.30am.our schoolo bus took the 35 of us ,the trainers and a few of our school teachers to the singapore ferry terminal.the terminal was air condition and i felt cold.the process was quite fast.i thought there will be alot of long queues as it was a monday morning and some people might be travelling to work as its the start of a working day.surprisingly,the queues were quite short.even the longest queue i when to felt very ast because all the people working at the ferry terminal were not wasting time.they work fast and effectively.after all the queuing up,all of us followed the path to the ferry.i boreded the ferry with my heavy bag.i struggled a bit.the ride was fun.we alighted at the indonesia ferry terminal and when to eat on the grass near the seaside. it was very uncomfortable.after eating, a bus took us to gunung bintan.we climbed it.i managed to climb the mountain.at first i thought the idea was wacky but after i climbed it i felt a sense of victory.i help alot of people.

Reflection On Bintan Trip

Reflection(Bintan Trip) 8 Nov - 10 Nov 2010

I arrived at the foyer in our school about 6:30 am.After all my classmates had arrived, our instructors, teachers and principal started briefing up.A few minutes later, we went up on the bus, heading to the ferry terminal.

Over there we all get our passports and the boarding pass.After knowing what to do, we continued our journey. After passing through the immigration, we board the ferry called "San Seri Bany".We enjoy our ride, however , I am so hungry that time!

Reaching there, we all sit down on the grass which was so sharp at its point that some of my classmates sits on their slippers which they will wore it at the resort.We ate our lunch while admiring the nature and the beautiful seaside.

Than our classmates is separated into 2 buses,blue bus and yellow bus.I went into the blue bus.We had fun with our instructor Afiq in there.At that time we are going to the mountain.I prepared all the thing in the bus which I am going to use over there.I wore my gloves, cap and etc.

Over there, we exercise with instructor Zul.After that we started climbing the mountain.I fell one time at the start, however , I kept falling and falling later on.It hurts but I tried and tried until we reach the top.I also learnt that we need Teamwork to conquer the mountain.We helped each other on the way.

At the top, we all took pictures.After that we take some sip of drink and then rest for a while before continuing.I think when we are going down,it was harder than before.I kept falling and falling until I was scared to move on.It was slippery,muddy and too rocky.

I also injured in the middle of our journey on the way down.I am very grateful to have wonderful classmates.They helped me to move on while I am shivering in fear of falling down and still injured.Although its hard for me to move, I tried my best.

At the bottom of the mountain,there is a nice waterfall.The water was very cool.I feel like wanting to jump into the water.I wash my hand inside it.I rested for a while and admire the place while regaining energy.After that I climb down the very long staircase.

When reaching down, I took some sip of water.Then we get into the bus and went to the resort.It is called "Bintan Agro Beach Resort".When we reach there, we were given our rooms key.,Then we went in and bath.After that we wear our home clothes and get ready to report downstairs.

We played "Animal Call" later on after having our dinner.We had great fun.Later, we are brief what to do tomorrow, we fill our water bottle and went to sleep in our room.

The next day, we had our breakfast and went to the Fish Collection Center.

We reach there when they are unloading the fish which they caught.We even saw they cut the shark's fin.Poor shark!They throw the sharks which fins are cut and took the fins only!!

Later, we went to the Landfill.It is quite sad that there are villagers living near there.I knew they had no choice but to live there.

Here is the water village.We stopped by after the Landfill.The scenery was nice except for the rubbish which the litter all around in the water.

We went to the Orphanage after shopping for the things to donate.We had fun,happy and sad moments there.

I had also made a friend there.Her name is Ita.I love her so much!I made a mask with her.The mask I made I gave her,while the mask she made,she gave me.I cried when she hugged me when we are going out to go to the Seafood Restaurant.I now learnt to appreciate what I have, and I love my parents!

After crying non-stop on listening what Afiq said to us,we enjoy our delicious Dinner there.We even karaoke there...At night I play Uno in my room with my roommates before sleeping.

Then come our 3rd day..I mean our last day there.After getting ready we went to take our last breakfast and we were given time to walk around the resort, buy things, do reflection and relax.After that, we took pictures,board the bus and have our lunch by seaside.

We then take the ferry to Singapore.I was so tired that I felt asleep in it.Then we took the bus and went to our school,Innova.

Lastly,I hug my mother,grandfather and brother which took me home and we went home tiredly... :D

My Experience To Bintan (Done by Elleora)

Between 8th November to 10th November, my whole class and I with some teachers and instructors went to Bintan Island for education and to have fun at the same time. On the first day, we headed straight to Mount Bintan to conquer it. It was indeed a very difficult mountain to conquer but everyone tried their best to conquer it. We all got ready at the bottom of the mountain. We refilled our water bottles, wore our gloves and even did some exercises. After that, we immediately headed for our destination, to get to the top of the mountain. Along the way up, there were many steeps and slopes we had to get over with. We got easily dirty, all our gloves and long pants were already muddy. Some of our friends were already tired when we have not even conquered 1 quarter of the mountain. I tried to help them by carrying their bags and supporting up the mountain. They were slow but I didn't care anyway. When we reached the second check point, which is a hut, I decided not to help them anymore. So, I climbed up faster than ever to where the leading teachers and instructors were. I, with some people who climbed fast, challenged each other. There were many thorns, ants and steeps everywhere we went. The other half of the mountain became more challenging than the first half which was a lot easier. On steeps, there were ropes to support us. We had to hold on to the ropes tight or we might slip and fall. I slipped a couple of times but did not fall. I was just being lucky. We all as class climbed more up and up the mountain. Eventually, all of us reached the summit. Me and Syahir were the first to reach the summit. We were very delighted. When everyone reached the summit, the teachers and instructors took a photo of the class together. Our legs were very tired. After a few minutes, we headed down the mountain on a different route. It was more fun and there were more ropes to help us. I liked jumping from rock to rock when we were going down the mountain although it was dangerous. Finally, after about 1 and a half hour, we all reached the bottom of the mountain but at a different place. We were very happy again. Going down the mountain was 100 times more fun and 10 times more faster. It was fun. There, there was a place where the water was very cooling and everyone loved putting our hands in it. Next, me, wai nam and syahir ran down a long flight of stairs. Everyone had to go down it but we ran down because it was more fun. When we ran, we could not stop. So, we just ran all the way which made our legs even tired. We conquered Mount Bintan! Let's celebrate! There were many chickens and we took a light snack. After about an hour or so, we headed back to the buses to the resort. When we reached the place, we were shocked. I had a feeling that the stay in Agro Bintan Resort was going to be a good one! I am going to love it! The instructors and teachers gave us our keys to the hotel room and gave us instructions to go into our room, organize ourselves and bath before meeting them back at the place where we were dismissed. We had about an hour to do so. So, we did as instructed and met back at the place. We went for dinner, had some games at the beach with the instructors and went to the lobby. The teachers and instructors briefed us about what to do after that. Then, we all headed to a restaurant to refill our water bottles and went back to the room to sleep... Rise and shine! It was already the next day! We had breakfast and immediately headed to the buses to go to the fish collection area, the water village and the landfill. After going to all these places, we went shopping for the orphanage we are going later. We were allowed to buy the necessities for the orphanage at a maximum of 300,000 rupiah per trolley. There were a total of 5 trolleys which we took. We did a good job and so Mr Affendy awarded us by letting us shop in the supermarket using our own money. We had a great time shopping and headed for the orphanage after that. When we went inside the orphanage, we had to put all the bags of things we brought and bought for them down on the floor at the side. Next, we performed our dance for them. I gotta admit that I think we danced like shit! We had many activities like aeroplane competiton and mask making with the children there. One of all the boys is my favorite. He is freaking cute and so fun to play with. We spent quite a long time there and when it was time to leave the orphanage, many of my friends cried. Some of the orphanages cried too. It was one of the saddest day of my life. Then, we went to a seafood restaurant for dinner. Afiq, one of the instructors made us close our eyes and listen to a song. When we heard it, we had no feelings at first but then Afiq started talking about our parents and asked us when was the last time we said 'I love you' to them. At that moment, we all started to cry and almost everyone cried, even some teachers. We cheered up when we started to have our dinner. The dinner was really nice. We sang after the dinner in the restaurant. Everyone headed to the buses after instructions from the teachers and took them back to the resort. The teachers had a long talk with us in a 'meeting room' in the resort regarding the activities which took place during the past 2 days. They instructed us on what to do and the plans for the day after which is the last day in the resort. We headed back to Singapore and back to school. I really, really, miss the resort. If only the stay in the resort was longer...

i think that the bintan trip was a very good experience.i really struggled to climb up the mountain and it was not a easy thing to do. since i reach the top of the mountain, i was really proud of myself cause half way up the mountain i had asthma attack . liyana, elleora and kah hao helped me a lot by carrying my day pack, my water bottle for me to have a drink immediately whenever i need it.

Bintan Trip XD

Departing from Innova Primary at 7.30pm and we reached tenah merah ferry terminal.Boarding Wan Seri Beni and we departed for bintan. When we reached there , we sat at the seaside and mr affendy gave us our lunch.

Then we sat on two different bus :yellow and blue. I sat on the yellow one and we went to gunung bintan. After A long trip up, the whole class reached the submit. Sad to say that i broke my glasses.

We mustered all our energy to go down and when i reached the bottom, we were dead tired.

After a refreshing shower, we went to a restaruant above a sea but too bad that it was low tide then.

Zul, one of our insturctors gave us a cheer called "makan cheer" it goes like this :saa! clap clap, clap clap, Saa! clap clap, clap clap, saa saa saa saa, si shua shua sii shua shua sii sua sua maaaaaaaaaaaaaaakaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!!!!.

the next day, we ate breakfast at the hotel and we departed to go to see the landfill, and a wet fish market. I saw a creul act of the fin of the shark being cut off.I vowed nver to eat sharks fin again.

We went shopping and then visited the orpanage. They welcolmed us and we show them our dance.

We then had a heraty meal after a parent child bonding and KTV was introduced too!

The next day, we had a breakfast and we depart to the terminal and took the ferry to singapore. :)

Bintan Trip

We assemble at our school foyer at 6.45 am.We then did a health check.After that we go to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (T.M.F.T).We took the ferry and we seat at economic class.When we got there we were shocked.

We then check in our hotel.Our room no. is 7216. We then rushed to the balcony to see the view.The first night was exciting but i didn't get that much space to sleep.

The third day we had breakfast that was so delicious we then had our free time to chit-chat with our friends and i hope to have this type of trip again.

In the period of 8th November to 10th November, we went to Bintan and the first day was the most tiring day we had to conquer a mountain , Mount Bintan ! I fell 2 times and sliped countless time that I lost count! >. The second day is the day when we went to the fish collection centre and we saw lots of fish being captured . And we seen fins being cut off by live sharks . It was torturous ! Next , we went to landfill and saw a hill of rubbish . The instructors told us most of the villagers worked as scavengers and many rubbish has been turned into resources of making houses . Third , we went to the water village and could you believe that the villager is on water!? So mostt of the villagers worked as fishermen! We went to the orphanage and almost all was crying , except me!
Night creep up and we were all staring at the sky that is filled with stars and instructor Zul sang us the "Linger " song . All was looking at the sky (as instructor Zul said so . ) and Mr Affendy and some friends were talking about firework ! Who knows a firework show was going to be presented on the beach .
The third day was sadding . And I learnt to think before I act ....

Trip To Bintan :P

It was tiring for the 1st day as we went up the mountain after a bumpy & dizzy ride on the ferry... We had a hard time getting up and down the mountain and many of us had a free souvenir from the mountain and tt was all muddy shoes and pants... :P And i met a super woman on the way up and down... and she was ZHI YU!! She can jus stop halfway and take some photos here and there! And she's not afraid of slipping.I was amazed...in the end,her camera oso got a souvenir from the mountain with scratches... XD On the bus ,we i was sitting near the door.And i felt like raining and Irritating as Instructor Zul was talkiing,he was spiiting saliva and it landed directly on me...And he plays with my shoe lays and so on...But it was fun...

On the 2nd day,we had breakfast and Zul was playing with us again...we had a fun time on the bus as we created a Bintan FM :D haha. We learnt they're living lifestyles and we were more fortunate then they are.Right after going to the orphanage, we went to the seafood restaurant.And the instructor Afiq, made us cry but i did not cry haha.He told us bout stories and even the boys cried!!And we end of the day with singing karaoke and went back to hotel.And our privilage was we can stay up late till 12(Bintan Time)...And thats the time of our last parade...



On the 3rd day,we all wished tt we could have a longer time there...
We had Breakfast and we had some free time to get souvenirs and do our reflection.
We went to the Ferry Terminal and reached Singapore in the afternoon at bout 3+.
We had fun on the bus way back to school as we were saying jokes and both the instructors are veryy funny :P
They continued with singing and and joking and we enjoyed the time. The time seems to be flying fast on the way back.When we reached school, we took a whole group photo and we left ...It was a fun and tiring trip... &(*_-)& Hope we can go there again but not climbing on the mountain...

Bintan (8-10 November 2010)

that have helped us throughout this 3 days. We have a lot of fun with them as they were friendly and kind. Let me introduce them to you guys. (From the left) Instructor Afiq, Instructor Zul, Mr Law, his WIFE and Yi Xin. I admit that the most instructorS I like was Zul and Afiq. They really made me laugh all the time. Really had a lot of fun with them!





This is the Waterfall near to the Gunung Bintan. The water was extremely cold as
after I finish the Destination, I wash my face with that cold water. The was not bad. Seems that the water was clean. I would like to climb the Mountain again as it was really interesting have a lot of fun there!















We went to the Fish Collection Centre. I could tell you guys the smell of the fishes stinks... But everything will be alright. This is a picture I took at the place. Seems that all the fishes are fresh I guess. The people there cut the Baby Shark and it was really pityful of it. I really felt so sad for the Baby Shark. Another thing, one of the worker showed us a really LONG fish but I had forgotten the name of the fish but it was really awesome looking at it.

Reflection On Bintan Trip

Gunung Bintan :
Wah! At last I get to climb to da Summit Destination! It was really tortures me when I was going up. But if I take it step-by-step, it was actually easy for me. By the time I reach to the Summit of the Mountain, my asthma attack came. I knew tis would happened, luckily I bought my Inhaler. When going down to the End Destination, it was really easy. Some of them told me tat it very very hard going down back to the Destination. But to me, its easy as I got to slide down.

Agro Resort And Spa :
The Resort was really surprising! It was beautiful and it amazed me because it allows most of us to see the sun rises / set. The foods in the Resort was also not bad. As the staff's in the Resoort was also kinda kind and friendly. After the 1st day dinner, we played Animal Call. It was really interesting as our team gets first for the first round.

Fish Collection Centre :
The place was actually dirty. It was full of many fishes. I saw this one fish that was kinda long. But I had forgotten the name of it.

Landfill :
We get to see the tubbish at the Landfill from the inside of the bus. I felt sad for some of the people there as the stay beside a rubbish dump. The place was also full with mosquitoes. Hope that people there will have a better life than their NOW life.

Water Village :
I like the Water Village as most of the houses there was kinda beautiful and interesting. I get to have a lot of fun there. The best thing I saw in the Water Village was that I saw a jelly inside a egg shell. Seems that it was really interesting. But the place was also quite familiar like the Landfill. As there are also a lot of rubbish in the water.

Orphanage :
Oook. I don't want to talk so much about the Orphans as it could make me cry. Now I could feel how they feel when they so not have any parents. I really appreciate with my life now. I have parents, friends, many people in my surroundings. I really miss them so much! There is one incident tat happened in the Orphanage. Like this, one boy came to me and sit at my lap. All of us should make a mask for them to remember us while they should make a mask for us so that we could remember them. When he was sitting on my lap, he ask me to draw for him a face. So I draw as what he ones. Suddenly, he hug me and give me a kiss. It was really touching. And that was the incident that I could not really forgot on the second day.

Day 2 to bintan

On the second day,we were asked to discuss what to buy for the orphanange at the meeting room agro resort.After thinking what to buy for the orphanage,we decided to go to ramayana mall at indonesia,before we get to the mall,we went to landfill to see the condition they stay,i pity them because there are houses beside the rubbish area that makes some of the baby difficult breathing.After seeng the land fill we went to the water village,it cool there because they live but underneath there is a water below the house.after visting water village,we went to ramayana mall to shop for the orphanage there,most of thee group bought an biscuit,milk powder,sweet,oil,sack of rice and packet of sugar to make their drink like tea and coffee.After buying the thing we want,we went straight to the orphanaged,i saw them running to us like what,but at the orphanage i thought they are not well groom,but actually it well groom by wearing complete tudung and songkok,the ophananged will never miss thier prayers,After visiting the orphananged, some of the girl cried.We went straight to the seafood restaurant,afiq had put a big onion at the table,that would makes us cry.After eating at the seafood restaurant,We went straight at the resort,when it is night there are many star in the sky,i bet u all will regret if u don see it.Our instructor zul sang us a short song called Lingered,i was very touched by the song,then we went straight to our resort to sleep.

Bintan Trip 2010

On 8 to 10 November, we went to Bintan, Indonesia. We had lots of fun. From the trip I learn something very important, teamwork.
On the first day, we climbed Mount Bintan. It was fun but extremely exhausting. It was tough at first, but as time went by, I found it easier and easier. I managed to reach to the summit of the mountain. Going down was the challenging part. It was much more painful as we have to slide down here and there. After all the challenges we face, we went to a resort called 'Agro Beach Resort'. After we had our bath, we went to eat at a restaurant in the resort. The food was great! After our dinner, we went to play a game called 'Animal Call' at the beach. It was really fun. From the game, I learn how to practice teamwork. After the tiring day, we had our free time and went to bed.
On the second day, we went to alot of places. We had our breakfast at th resort and we learn a 'Makan Cheer' from our instructors. We had to do the cheer before we start eating. After our breakfat, we went to the Fish Collection Center. It waqs sad to see the fishmonger cutting off the shark fins. Next we went to the landfill. I felt pity for the villages living near the landfill. Then we went to the waterr village. It was sad to see that the water was full with rubbish. Some of the houses are made of aluminium! As we were walking, we say colourful jellys in egg shells. Lastly. we went shooping for the orphans. We bought alot of things for them. As we behave ourself during the trip, our teachers allow us to have free time. After the shopping, we went to the orphanage. I was happy to see them as it was my first time visiting the orphanage. We were told to guide them in making the mask making. The next game we played was challenging as we have to make aeroplane out of paper. The plane that fly the furthest wins. The sad thing was to say 'goodbye' to them. My friends and I cried as they were hugging us and asking us to come back. On the way to the bus we were all in tears. Next we went to the restaurant. It was beautiful! The next thing our instructors us ask to do was to listen to a song. That was the part when everybody cried. We realise how fortunate we are. We take things for granted. Next, our instructors ask us to write a letter to our parents. After all the crying, finally we get to taste the delcious food that was already serve on the table. Next we went back to the resort. Instructor Zul brought us to the beach and sang for us a song called 'Linger'. Next he ask us to look at the beautiful stars in the sky and there was fireworks! I was so touched when our instructors do that for us. It was a wonderful night and the LAST night my instructor and I will be together.
10 November, the last day of the Bintan Trip and the last day my instructor and I will be together. As per normal, we had our breakfast. We had our free time. My friends and I took photos with the instructors (for memories) Next, we check out from the resort. We had lunch at the seaside first before boarding the ferry back to Singapore. This will be the most memorable experience ever. I will miss those day we are together guys. I will miss the orphans. I will miss th instructors and lastly, I will NOT forget this Bintan Trip!! :)

Bintan trip_2010

On the first day to Bintan, we climbed Gunung Bintan, the mountain. Climbing up the mountain is the hard part because it was in the morning and there was morning dews everywhere. The ground was also muddy and slippery, so it causes many of people to slip and fall. For the steeper parts of the mountain, there was ropes to help us climb up easier. Climbing down the mountain was fun, I followed the first group down, so we made it first. As going down there was many slopes with muddy land, so some people slided down instead of hiking. When we reached the destination we were offered biscuits from the instructors. while waiting for the others, one instructor had one leech on his feet.

On the second day, we visited the fish collection centre, and we saw many kind of marine life, being killed, or packed in ice. We saw a man, slicing of the fins of the sharks to make shark fin soup. I felt sorry for the sharks because those sharks were young, small sharks.(shown above) There were also giant prawns, fishes and stingrays. The other places were the landfill, water village, and the orphanage. At the water village, the people there live a simple life and each family has its own business. For example, there was one family that we saw sold snacks. One of it was homemade jelly in egg shells.(Shown above) At the orphanage, we performed and made masks together. After making it, we traded it with the orphans. When we were going to leave, many girls cried except me and some others. It may be because they have developed a good relationship with them.

On the third day, we had the day all for ourselves, so we played and visit the shops at the resort. When it was time to go back, everybody didn't feel like leaving because we had tons of fun there.

Reflexion:

During the trip at Bintan, Indonesia, we learnt more about one another. On the ship to Bintan, I noticed that few people had seasick, and one even threw up. In the resort, we played some team-building games at night. While staying in the rooms, I learnt more about the person's personality, especially their culture. During the second morning, I found out why the previous night was freezing, it was because somebody had lowered down the temperature to 16 degree Celsius!

Bintan Trip 2010

8th November 2010 is the day where the journey begins and now all 35 innovians had set a history to be remembered for a lifetime after the 3 day camp trip to Bintan, Indonesia. Before I start writing about my reflection during the Bintan trip, I would like to thank my teachers and not forgetting my lovely instructors who have guide us along the way to the different places in Bintan.

Day One...
When we first arrived at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, I could not wait to board the ferry to Bintan as it was my first time boarding a ferry. After the ferry start making its way to Bintan Ferry Terminal I feel a bit giddy but luckily I managed to overcome that feeling and felt better after eating a sweet. Then we had our breakfast by the seaside in front of the ferry terminal. Straight after that, we head to Mount Bintan :) On the way there, my instructor asked us to sing a few songs that we all know to break the silence in the bus...I think it is a good idea as we would not feel awkward due to keeping quiet for about an hour. It was also a great opportunity for us to know our instructor better. When we first trek up the mountain, the path was quite clear but when we trek higher up the mountain, the path gets slippery and it was harder to climb. That was when we had to support each other or support on trees in order not to slip off. Teamwork was greatly appreciated during that time. I did slide a couple of times but luckily I did not fell. Then as the path gets even more slippery, I began to get worried. I am not sure if I could make it to the summit of the mountain but when I see a lot of my friends cheering me on I finally made the right choice to continue climbing the mountain. I was glad that I managed to climb up and down the mountain safely. Finally we checked into our resort room and have a nice bathe before having dinner at the resort. We then played a mini game which I would definitely teach my family members the way to play the game:)

Day two...
For day two, the schedule is way different from day one. We visited more places on day two than compared to day one. Here are the places that we visited in sequence...

• Fish Collection Centre
• Landfill
• Water Village
• Ramayana Shopping Centre
• Orphanage

At the Fish Collection Centre, I saw an elderly man cutting off the fins of sharks and then throwing the meat of the shark away. I really hope that people should eat lesser of fin's shark and try to protect them instead of killing them and putting them in a high risk of getting extinct. Next we went to the landfill where people actually live there. It was really a sad thing to see people live there as they have no other choice but to live near the landfill. Then we visited the water village. I was glad to be given the chance to actually go to the water village as we don't really see all these in Singapore. Then we went shopping at Ramayana Shopping Centre which was about 5 minutes away from the Ayam Penyet Restaurant. We went shopping for the orphans which we will be visiting them after we shopped for them. Finally we visited the orphans. I really pity them and was impressed at how strong they are even after they actually lost their parents. Though they look happy, I'm sure there is one thing deep down in their heart that definitely could not be cured which was them losing their parents and their loved ones. When we reached there, the first thing we did was we perform to them our dance. Then we spent time with them by making a mask with them. After that we actually have to make a paper aeroplane and the aeroplane that lands the furthest actually wins. Time passed so fast and it was time for us to leave the orphans. With heavy hearts, I forced myself to leave the orphans and head to our buses. Some of my friends even cried. Then we went to a seafood restaurant to have our dinner and most of us cried AGAIN when we are having the parent child bonding there. After dinner, we had a mini karaoke where everyone had an enjoyable time there! The boys sang as loud as they can and none of them bothered about what is happening around them. Our instructors brought us to the beach in front of the resort and sang a meaningful song called 'Linger'. Without us knowing their plans, they told us to look at the sky and count from 10 to 1...the moment we finish counting, we saw fireworks! I was touched that they go through all that trouble just for us.

Day three...
It is a day where everyone says goodbye to the instructors and packed their bags before leaving the resort. During our free time, our teachers allowed us to visit the convenience store to buy souvenirs for our family and ourselves. I really enjoyed the trip and I wished there were more trips like this. At the end of the day I realized how fortunate I am to live in Singapore feeling comfortable than compared to the other countries. I am considered very lucky to have a proper place to stay and a country which is safe and modern. I also learned to appreciate my parents better and not to take them for granted as there are children with no parents. This is really a trip that I would NEVER forget. I may forget some of the activities I've did before but I will definitely NOT forget the wonderful time I had with all my friends,teachers and instructors...:)
