Reflection on Pulau Ubin

I had a memorable time a tPulau Ubin on 29 Oct 2010. On the way to the ferry terminal, I was imagining all sorts of things that we might be doing there. I knew we were going to learn how to use a compass the right way, but I did not think that we were going to different checkpoints on the East of Pulau Ubin. Although the trail was tiring, I had learned somthing very valuable there.

I had learned that we cannot assume which path we take is the correct one without using the compass to check as it can cuase unecassary suffering. At one of the checkpoint, we had assumed that the path we decided to take was the shorter route, but instead, we took the longer route. At one point during the time we took the long route without us realising, we were puzzled when the path turned to the left which we thought that it should be going straight. Our instructor then showed us how to find out where we were and we eventually did.

I am very grateful to Innova Primary School as I might have never knew how to use a compass properly. I'm very lucky!!!
